Description

Robert Buzzard (Cherokee), a 1957 graduate of Chilocco Indian Agricultural School, talks about spending his youth near Chilocco before enrolling in the school in the ninth grade. He describes what life was like on campus and some of his memories from his time there, like helping build the football stadium bleachers. Buzzard shares how he joined the Air Force and some of the duties he had as an aircraft mechanic. He discusses his long career with a power plant where he worked his way up to operating foreman before retiring. Buzzard also talks about his continued commitment and involvement with Chilocco.
